Backyard Wedding | Tulare, CA
Chase and Taya have quite an amazing love story!!! Having known each other since they were 14, both their families went to the same Church camp every summer. They saw each other at least once a year at different church events across the states. Chase lived in Oklahoma City, OK and Taya in Tulare, CA. However, they didn’t notice each other in that ‘way’… well we should say Taya, never saw Chase in this way.😂 They never really spent much time together but looking back they have multiple photos of them sitting next to each other at events or walking in the same friend group.
Flash forward to October 21st 2022, Chase flew out to Tulare, on a one way ticket, alone and randomly, but Taya had a sneaking suspension and thought, “who does this guy think he is?.” Chase asked her out on the first day he was in California, but was told no! Later that week, Taya saw Chase again, this time at church. After a little small talk, he asked Taya out again and this time she said Yes!! It only took them 10 days to realized that they were destined to be. They dated long distance for a few months until this past May, when Chase moved to California. A little over a week later, they were ENGAGED!!!!! 🥳
Chase & Taya’s Backyard Wedding
Taya & Chase are seriously the cutest couple together!!! Their true love is beautiful to see. Chase & Taya’s Backyard Wedding took place at Taya’s childhood home. The Porter family are all just as sweet as she is and the talent in this family made my eyes widen!!!! Taya’s father made a custom steeple for their wedding vows! Matron of Honor, aka Taya’s Mama, made all the wedding cakes at each guest table with the exception of Chase’s Groom’s Cake. Taya’s brother made the flower girl’s chariot wagon 😍 Chase’s Father officiated their wedding, how special is that!?!?!
The beautiful wedding arch over the sweetheart table was made from the walnut tree that Taya used to play under everyday growing up. Other special wedding decor includes Taya’s grandmas vintage suitcases that held the wedding favors, great grandparents table and record player was used to hold the wedding cakes. Her something borrowed was her mama’s wedding ring and a custom garter made from her mama’s wedding dress.
There’s something special about fall weddings, isn’t there? Chase & Taya truly stole the show with their impeccable style, attention to detail, and infectious charm. Such an amazing time capturing the love, laughter, and genuine moments. It was like a storybook come to life, filled with smiles, hugs, and pure joy. I mean, I’m not exaggerating when I say it was perfection! Enjoy this sneak peak!
